There are no cookies, and no Google Analytics, tag managers, advertising pixels or session recorders. Nothing is saved to local or session storage. There are no adverts and no login. We do not build profiles of visitors, and have no visitor data to share or sell.

Every contact link on this site is a plain email link. It opens your own mail program, and nothing reaches us until you send it. We keep the emails we receive in our inbox, use them only to reply, and delete them if you ask.

The site is hosted on Vercel. Their servers log each request, which includes the page, the time, your browser’s user-agent and your IP address. Every web server does this. We do not combine those logs with anything else or use them to identify anyone. Vercel processes them as our host under its own privacy policy.

The typefaces are bundled when the site is built and served from our own domain. Your browser does not request them from Google’s font servers.

Listing photos and logos come from the businesses’ Google Business Profiles. Photos pass through our server’s image optimiser first, so your browser fetches them from our domain. Logos load directly from Google’s image servers (googleusercontent.com), which means Google receives your IP address when a logo is shown, as it would on any page that displays a Google-hosted image.

Tapping a phone number, a website link or a directions link takes you straight to that business, or to Google Maps. We do not redirect, count or log those clicks, so we cannot tell which businesses get contacted. Links to business sites carry nofollow, and paid ones also carry sponsored.

Listings are built from public Google Business Profiles: trading name, address, business phone, website, hours, rating and review count. We also note what a business says on its own website, such as whether it offers mobile call-outs. Many auto electricians work alone, so these details can be personal information too. We publish only what the business has already made public, and we remove it on request.

Email us. We aim to act within two working days, at no charge, and you do not need to give a reason. A removal deletes our record of the business, not just its public listing.

The Protection of Personal Information Act lets you ask what personal information we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Write to hello@autoelectriciannearme.co.za. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Regulator.

If we ever add analytics, a form or anything that sets a cookie, we will update this page before we do it.
